Going through the Big D, and I don't mean Dallas! (I don't mean Divorce, either.) Nothing like a good old-fashioned depressive episode at Christmas time...but then, there's NO good time for that, is there?

After sitting in a crowded waiting room, my med switch and at least a good half hour cry. I'm pretty drained and ready for bed.

Have been going along pretty good for a few weeks now and suddenly down I'm starting to go. Feels scary and sad. I'm just new to being treated and diagnosed. Don't know if it will pass or get worse.

Thanks for starting this thread. Today I only cried three times. This is my first winter since being diagnosed. I now know I suffer from winter blues. I stayed pretty busy today and it really helped. I got teary-eyed a few times while out socializing but I was able to calm myself down. I listened to jazz music and it helped me get my morning started. I'm looking forward to seeing my therapist 2moro.

Was extremely close to a breakdown last night because of the extreme lack of sleep I was under. Overstimualted with caffeine and nicotine to try to compensate. Ended up getting sick, but that purged me of a lot of the chemicals, and I was able to take a good nap. Woke up back to normal and after a good nights sleep, I'm good to go

Same here! It's a yearly cycle for me...I'm blessed with an added PTSD diagnosis this year. Santa being generous as ever!

Hope you're getting through.

Doing quite a bit better today. I went to an Advent service at church last night, then to Confession, and I got a lot of stuff out of my system. The words of absolution are beautiful, and I felt so at peace afterwards. The only thing I'm upset about today is the school shooting in CT......that just makes me sick at heart.
