I've been in hell since my first manic episode for almost all of 2010...
BUT I've been on seroquel since jan and it is seeming to really help. I started listening to music every once in awhile then, My sense of humor started coming back then, I started making the beds And today I was listening to MY music and cleaning! Hmmmmmm do I dare feel hopeful? |

My psychiatrist's favorite mantra with me after a brutal manic episode is "baby steps". They are the single most comforting words he says to me sometimes. I actually believe him when he says it. Keep taking those steps. You will get there.

I've learned that baby steps are often the best way to get somewhere. They keep you stable. Start making long strides and your liable to fall over. And in the end, your still headed towards your goal.
