I don't know what happened to me a little while ago.

I was sitting at my desk when my head started to hurt real bad. Then I couldn't sit still, was pacing in my office w/ my head killing me, and then I started to hear my name being called but no one was around. I wanted to scream and scream. Thank goodness I didn't. But it was starting to feel very uncontrollable.

I sat down, and did some, okay a lot, of deep breathing exercises until my heart stopped racing and I calmed down. I left the office for a little while just to be sure I wasn't going to lose it at work.

I am on a 200 mg of tegretol twice daily. It does seem to be helping as I don't swing very often.

Any of you experience this, and what can I do to stop it?

Thanks in advance.

Jeffro

That sounds pretty scary. Hopefully your doctor will have an answer.

That sounds like the start of mania. Could the head ache be from lack of sleep or lack of food?

I saw my pdoc. He increased my tegretol, and put me on an anti psychotic. Told to leave work and go home if it happens there. He believes it's mania. So much to say, but hard on the phone.
