Pretty self explanatory question. I'm certain we all go through similar things and as a relative newbie in both dx and these boards I'm just curious as to how often the same questions get asked/posts made? And does it bother you at all?
Clearly I'm too lazy to delve back into pages and pages of old posts. Thanks in advance for your insight! |

I've been around here long enough to know that bipolar is experienced differently by everyone who has it, thus the questions and answers---though similar---will also be different. A lot of folks here who have been diagnosed for a long time may see more similarity than someone like me, as I got my dx only 16 months ago, but most of us are pretty good at being patient with newbies because we've all been there.
Newly diagnosed, upset, confused, angry, sad, grieving for the person we thought we were.....all this and more have been experienced by the people here. Don't worry about asking something we may have heard before, because it's new to YOU and that's what matters.

To me, each and every question is different. It may start off the same but it evolves into such a difference that I feel wrong saying there anything alike. It never bothers me.

Because Bipolar is unique to everyone I think everyone can bring all kinds of good advice whether you are a newbie or an "ole timer" . This forum is one of the fastest moving . People come looking for help and advice. People come offering support and advice .. It is a seemingly perfect situation.. Give when you can , take when you need.
Repetitive questions? Sure yeah it happens often... I don't mind them, There is always new info or a new way to look at things. And we often has episodes where a giggle fest hits and we can all have a good laugh. ![]() I Love PC and all the wonderful amazing friends I have made ![]()

I also think questions are repeated, sometimes as often as weekly, but each one still leaves us with so much to learn.

Even the age old question "do I have bipolar" maybe the "question" is the same but the symptoms and experiences inthe post are different. Everyone has their story. And sometimes, people just need to tell that story, so we get a lot of those here. But, that's a good thing, because you have to let it out or it will poison you.
I tend to ask a lot of similar questions I think, but I think it's because I forget things a lot. ![]()
