Been absent for a a while but I missed you guys so much. And a big warm hello to all the new faces I see here!

My sister seems to finally be recovering. I had my ba operation and a week out got bronchitis. Let me tell you..coughing with internal stiches in your chest is really really painful. 2 weeks post op I got a mountain bike so I can retire my bmx finally. 3 weeks post op finally brave enough to take it for a little ride. Which was great till i turned and the handle bars rotated down from bad assembely. Got speared in the rib and boob. Omg was the most shocking pain. Went to hospital and have a small fracture to the rib, and ripped pocket for implant, making it slip. but I have been told to tape it and support it and hopefully the pocket may heal and avoid revision surgery.

However I have managed to make it through will no mood issues!!! Its been so busy, trips to see bf's family, kids out for school and dealing with my job taking nice advantage of my labour.

It's been a year of physical recovery my bf is convinced I need body armour to go for a walk. But I have other ideas. Hehe saw an article in a running mag for womens marathons, and it made me tear up alot. The sisterhood of it..... so I found one in niagara falls. And my sister wants to do it with me!! 21.5 k we can do it. Have a whole year to train since neither of us are really runners as long as I manage to keep my body intact till then. I know my physio therapist said no running..but you know how that works. What's a girl to do.. i have to experience the sisterhood that I made me cry when I read that article. Sounded to beautiful to pass up.

I miss you guys here a lot aLOT. So please let me know how you are doing? Or tell me the new story of you.. want to hear about it!!! I knew it was going to be a pretty rough time and that I needed all I had to just focus and deal with nitty gritty. But thought of you guys a lot and hope you are all ok.

I would start to feel lonely without you guys but I saw this poster that read " don't feel lonely, you have the whole universe inside you" and that includes my connections with the beautiful people I know here. How can you feel lonely with the whole universe inside you?? So I just kept reminding my self of that.

I've missed you, too, Anika, and I know you're going to be just fine. Please be careful.

Everything seems to be cool to me, Anika. People still asking about bipolar illness steadily and having problems that they're working on correcting. All in all, it's a fine group of people, and I think you'll see your friends here calling out to you.

Good to have you back.

I missed you, Anika. I thought about you a lot.

I've recently experienced some terrible anxiety, but Ill get over it.

I don't have much mood issues anymore, either.

Don't push yourself too hard to prevent running injuries. I know you probably will, though. XD

Yea, Anika! So good to see you again!
Update? Uhhh, well, it's been a ride (With BF it always is , so it's a good thing I love him a lot, lol!) Just working and doing stuff, no big news for me. Moods have been pretty even overall. Up and down, yes, but nothing persistent enough that I'd consider it an episode. Except... went hypo for a week and a half. That... had its moments. Been a while since that. There have been some intense situational downs, but basically ok overall.
Either that or I have a really short memory.

I was so happy to see your name on a thread, Anika! I have missed you.
Wow, pain, adventure, travel-you have lots going on! Your life is much more thrilling than mine.
My update-I finished a school year and I am now on summer break. My biggest adventure is looking at colleges with my daughter.
-So glad you are back and then you are traveling in a positive direction!
Many Hugs!

New here - nice to meet you! Your post made me smile and laugh! The responses have also made me happy I have found this site. I truly believe only another BP can understand a BP fully. Nice to have a community of support and compassion. Looking forward to getting more involved!

Anika! I'm so glad you're back! I was just thinking about you and suddenly you appear!

I'm on the low side at the moment. I can't think of a lot to say (weird for me, right?) But, I just want to say hi!
