I was on Saphris for about a year. Over that time I collected a laundry list of side-effects. I even went to a neurologist because my psychiatrist didn't believe the symptoms were related to Saphris. The neurologist recommended Seroquel as a replacement.

I've been on Seroquel for a couple of months and my life has gotten so much better. I still have a hand tremor, but it's not so bad that I can't even write my own name. Anyway, I've noticed that I will have rhythms running through my head, almost all day, and that my feet and toes keep time with what's going on in my head. It seems to be involuntary because when I notice it, it goes away.

Has anyone else experienced this with Seroquel?

I was on seroquel for several years after going through a trauma....only way I could sleep.....but I was so messed up every other way, I doubt that I would have noticed something like that.

Only really bad thing I felt from it was hung over all the time....but then that wasn't bad during that time because I couldn't function anyway. It would have been nice if anti-anxiety meds would have touched what I was feeling rather than having to go with something so radical at such a high dose (600mg at night). I remember having restless legs, but can't remember if that was with the seroquel or something else at this point....it's been 6 years since I've been on anything.......just remember the combination of Thorzine & compozine (for the nausea from my migraines)....left me with the parkinson's like side effect where I couldn't even walk or feed myself......that was scary.....until I found out it was a side effect.

Hope you can sort through this.....side effects no matter how small are annoying.

I have not been on Seroquel long, and it was prescribed in addition to Lamictal so I am not quite sure which is causing what side effect. However, considering the Lamictal is on the starting dose I am going to assume the Seroquel is the cause.

Here are the side effects I have:
dry mouth
restlessness in my legs: they move a lot involuntary and if I force them to be still I get an overwhelming urge to move them, almost like an itch
A very scary sensation that I am unable to will myself out of bed. According to what my girlfriend tells me, I think I am wide awake but I am actually falling in and out of sleep

But all this is much better then the Seroquel rage side effect I have heard about as well as that killer rash side effect that Lamictal has. I know they only happen in a small percentage of people but just knowing I am putting a drug in my body that is capable of doing those things scares the crap out of me.

Can't argue with the results though. being medicated beats having constant uncontrollable mood swings

I've been on Seroquel for 4 months now and was in it for over a year in the past. The only side effect that I get is it makes me feel drunk. So I have to allow for 12 hours of no driving. The only other thing is a lot of people complain of weight gain but I've been actively losing weight (with weight watchers) so it doesn't seem to affect me now. Even with these side effects. I love it. It does what I need and the minor life style changes have been a good thing anyway. Good luck!

Binary Man, it sounds like our side-effects are the same. I'm also on Lamictal, so maybe it's the combination of the two, but I am on a high dosage, 400 mg.

Look for a product called Biotene. There is toothpaste, a mouth wash. and a mouth spray. That should help with your dry mouth. Sugar free Life Savers work pretty well for me as well.

Seroquel has been a life saver for me. I'm on a low dose, but it works! The only side effect I have is a dry mouth in the morning. That could be caused by all of my psych meds, though
