Meds:

Serdep50mg
Epilim 500g
Rivotril 0.5mg
Lamictin 100mg
Stilnox 1/2

I had manic episode. ( 2 weeks in bed )

2 weeks on current cocktail.

Irritability: through the roof - i am scared my sharp tongue is going to cost me my job. As a rule I am sarcastic and witty - and my staff would laugh. Lately, my normal grace has abandoned me, and they are shocked!

Anxiety attacks : 2-4 per day - full blown

I lock myself in my office and try to do all correspondence through emails.

I realise these meds needs about 6 weeks to kick in - no patience

Hitting the gym tomorrow- hope to work out some of these feelings
I am also watching my diet carefully - due to weight gain from the meds.

I have had bi-polar since I was 13. with distinctive manic episodes in 10 yrs intervals - this one definitely the worst.

the first two times the meds worked almost instantly. i should never have stopped with the epilim....

so we learn

im sorry you are having such a difficult time right now. it is unfortunate that we bipolars so often go off our medication thinking we are going to be ok and then we get stuck like this having to wait it out while we restabilize on our meds again. it sounds like you are doing what you can by eating right and exercising to keep yourself balanced as best you can. take care.

You're not taking any antipsychotics. The two I have been on, Saphris and Seroquel, took less than a week to kick in. Both of them kicked butt on my mania. Maybe you can ask your doctor about taking one of them instead of the Epilim.
Thanks for this!
