I occasionally have hallucinations in my peripheral vision. It's usually just an instant. Long enough to see it and its details, but short enough to make me doubt it was there. I have heard of other people having this type of hallucination.

Today, I was cutting grass on my tractor. It has a roll bar. When I'm on it, I occasionally see it out of the corner of my eye. Today, I turned my head a little and very definitely saw a man wearing shorts and a headband. I turned my head a little more and it was just my roll bar.

Are these even real hallucinations, or are they just tricks of my peripheral vision?

dunno for sure, but if it was in color and good detail my guess is it was a hallucination because my understand of peripheral vision is it's suppose to be weaker and some times lacks color?

This probably doesn't help at all (sorry ) but I used to complain about seeing "shadow forms" in my peripheral vision. Always in the corner of my eye, always an animal shape, but they were always in black/gray without definite edges. Anyway, I mentioned them to my friend once, and she wondered if I wasn't "psychic" and seeing spirits or some such thing. I've read that hallucinations are more permanent, last longer, that sort of thing. I could be wrong, I'm not an expert by any means.

On a similar subject, I will often hear what sounds like a radio or people talking in another room, when I know for a fact no one is there. Drives me bonkers.

They last long enough for me to tell what they are, and they are clearly defined. The one I had yesterday was very clear and lasted longer than any of them before.

I don't know. I'd rather they weren't hallucinations.

Well, then at the risk of sounding like a woo woo person, perhaps you are psychically gifted and are seeing spirits of the dead? I don't know if that's comforting. I would offer internet hugs if you'd take them.

I wish you well

I have Hallucinations daily ... For the most part I just keep going on about my day ... IF I start questioning if they are real that is when I treat them .. My pdoc agrees .." If they dont bother you dont bother treating it "

Are yours in your peripheral vision?

That's kind of what my doctor told me. He said if they weren't telling me to do things, don't worry about them. It's just a bit disconcerting. It just started happening a little over a year ago.

Some are.... some are in my face sitting on my couch looking at me. lol I get Auditory and visual hallucinations/Psychosis.

Just do some self grounding when your seeing things .. at least that is what I do .. They do not bother me enough to want to consider taking medications for it.

Happens to me often. I have no idea but I seriously refuse to ask.

Had 2 last month and that's with antipsychotic meds. One was visual and the other was audio.
