Has anyone else experienced Lithium weight gain and what do you do to reverse it or at least stop it?
Has anyone experienced Hypothyroidism -- An under active thyroid. How often you you have to test your thyroid and check you lithium levels? Is it possible not to gain weight on BP medication? I understand the first few weeks is basically water retention. I try to exercise as often as my mood allows it. I eat really healthy but binge about once in two weeks mostly red velvet cup cakes.... Oh and then there is epilim that is also apparently notorious for weight gain, what is your take on that?

The short answer is yes. You will probably have to make some pretty radical changes in your diet and nutrition. I am using Joel Fuhrman's "Eat to Live." I started it after I had to have a stent put into my heart. I am on Seroquel, one of the kings of weight gain. I have actually lost 13 lbs. since I started the diet. It takes a lot of self-control, but if weight gain really bothers you, it's worth a try.

Yep...weight gain here. I am normally curvy but athletic looking. Now I am curvy, minus the athletic...swapped that for slightly chunky since I put on about 8 lbs. I am not at all happy with the weight and am doing everything I can to combat it. It is glued onto my body though...it wont budge! At this point i feel it is a reasonable price to pay for a somewhat content existence. If i tack on any more weight I will be talking with my pdoc about lithium and I needing to break it off, i think.
