But hopefully this one will stick! Hi everyone! I'm back from inpatient (again). This time the doctor actually waited until I showed marked improvement before discharging me which is the best thing she could have done. I actually feel "normal", which I haven't felt since a brief week between episodes back in April. I've been telling them to put me on a mood stabilizer all along but finally someone listened to me. The voices and strange thoughts are gone as well as the suicidal and SI thoughts. I'm actually excited to return to work next week instead of dreading it. I'm confident I can handle all the judgmental people I have to work with. But I know I'm not hypo because my energy level is normal. So I'm happy.

Thank you to everyone who supported me ten days ago and convinced me to go get more help. I really needed it even though I didn't want to. My husband has also been incredibly supportive. I think I scared him enough this time to insist that I needed extra help.

Hope to see you all around, looking forward to meeting the new people as well!

Welcome back wildflower!!!! You sound sooooo much better and happier than you did a while ago!! I'm so proud of you for going and how on EARTH were you not already on a mood stabilizer?!?! I'm glad that you are now on one!!!

Also, I'm glad you're excited for school again. I'm starting to get excited now too, now that my classroom is set up!

They kept insisting that abilify was a good enough mood stabilizer even though it's classified as an antipsychotic and i was obviously still cycling severly. But I'm going to a new pdoc and a new IOP program so hopefully I will continued to be listened to.

Welcome Back ! I am so glad you followed your own instincts and went inpatient. You sound great. I am also glad you had a good experience and had a doctor who listened to you.

What mood stabilizer did they put you on ? Just curious because I am still struggling with instability, is it something new or one of the older ones ?
