Shortly after I started on antipsychotics, my voice went away. Sometimes I can barely make enough sound to be heard and understood. I feel like I'm straining to talk all of the time.
Has anyone else had this side effect, or is it like my doctor said, just a coincidence? __________________ “And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.” ― Friedrich Nietzsche |

That's how I am when I'm depressed. I also was like that when my jaw was locking up because of celexa.

Sometimes my voice doesn't quite do what I expect it to either, but I never thought to attribute it to my AP like I do with the akathesia and the minor drooling that happens occasionally. Interesting.

That never happened to me when I started taking an antipsychotic, it may be a coincidence like your doctor said. If it dosnt get better soon I would ask about it.

I have had the drooling problem a few times in the past. I went to an ENT,but he couldn't find any problems. He wants me to go to a speech pathologist, but I never seem to be able to make myself go.
