I've had a better day today. A few things have come into place, I saw my gp today and my thyroid is out of whack again, along with the premenopausal bs that I keep hoping will end soon. So its not just neurotransmitters I'm dealing with, ugh.
Anyway, I gave some thought to the wise words that were sent my way, which I appreciate so much. I think when my mood goes low I get more broody and obsessive about my thoughts. I have also asked myself, why do I obsess over this one event that happened 7 years ago? Yes it was life altering but so was giving birth. 7 years ago I got sick, I got diagnosed with bipolar. But its manageable most of the time with a lot of effort. But it's not who I am. Its a medical illness, people with diabetes don't walk up to people and say Hi I'm Sally, I'm diabetic. So who am I then? I'm Amy, a wife, mother, writer, musician, music lover, pinterest fan, I'm a lot of things. I'm not bipolar, I have bipolar. I am not my illness. Thanks for listening. ![]() |
