I mentioned in my other post Im on SSDI. So I'm on medicare. I have been seeing an absloute hack. I'm overwhelmed right now and kind of embarrassed that I shouldn't need someone to hold my hand but how do I find a competent psych doc who takes medicare?

My husband has insurance through work, and possibly I could get on it but the copays might be outrageous and something we can't afford. Especially with my other specialist visits.

I guess it depends on where you live and how many providers there are. Seems to be a big shortage of pdocs these days. I would call all the clinics and private practices in your area and ask if they take medicare. Google their names and there might be reviews on them.
