Ok now I am really confused haha. I thought that BPD moods were able to be changed with external factors ie - music or art can improve or change mood, mania can be controlled and all of it can be 'cured' with DBT. (I have just been talking to BPD friend who no longer meets the criteria trying to explain it to me. She was originally diagnosed BP also but all of those symptoms have gone away with the correct therapy and she believes she never had it, that it was all BPD)

If I am depressed there is no amount of external factors that can get me out of it, even if I won lotto or got given gifts etc I would still be depressed. If Im hypo nothing can bring me down until the Im drugged or the mood changes. I never have had a noticable trigger for hypomania but ongoing stress does trigger depression.

I get the no cookie-cutter, most people probably fall somewhere in between the 'classic' and the ultradian; the rest of this issue is confusing, to me anyway. I don't get, probably won't. So be it.
