Usually I don't really want anyone to know I'm actually in mania so I down play it to others by saying, I'm a little on the upswing. Of course I don't fool anyone.
Thanks for this!

"Ooh, I might be just a teensy bit wired" when somebody needs to come get me down off the moon.

Otherwise, I just call it my 'high'.

Terms I start using when I'm (hypo)manic, but denying it.

"I'm a little bit very good." Actually said this to my psychiatrist when she pointedly asked me if I was good or VERY good. I was well and truly manic at this point.
"A little bit energetic."
Excitable.
"I've got my mojo back."
"I'm just enjoying life."
Over happy.

Mostly I would say 'high', rather than mania.
Thanks for this!

My husband always calls me HYPER. That is his word. There is so much more to it I can't think of one word.

If someone knew my diagnosis, I might tell them that I'm in a bit of an up - it's how I refer to it in my head.

Generally, I'll say that I'm wired or really energetic. Sometimes I might say bouncy. If I'm really feeling it I might say that I feel like I'm going bonkers.
