Bipolar Hallucidations: Stretched-out Moments

Can you relate to this? Is this a bipolar thing, or just me?

I've always felt different. Like an alien. (Which I wrote about another time.) Anybody else have "stretched out moments"?

I would have never identified it as a "bipolar" thing but I can definitely relate.

When I am hypomanic things feel different to touch, they feel "more". I'll find myself absent-mindedly touching things because they feel so awesome. I often will stroke skin, either on myself or others (have to be careful with that people think I am weird). I also notice the beauty in things easier, I wont stare at objects for hours (my attention span is not long enough) but I will notice things I wouldnt when I was baseline. Although I do remember being so involved in watching a fire, it was hard to describe, like there was so much beauty, I got completely lost in it, completely, the rest of the world didnt exist, I was in the fire, I was part of the fire.

I see the wonderful and magic in everyday life. The world is amazing and far more interesting when I am up.

That's why I'm asking- to see if its a bipolar thing or just a me thing.

I'm not good at identifying my "bipolar features", so that was an interesting read. Like I said, I can relate, so it very well could be. Very enlightening.

Not sure if it's a bipolar thing or not. I've been diagnosed with bipolar once and even BPD once, but neither are good fits, possibly a lighter version of BP may be, or some thing else but yes I can definitely relate! But some schizotypal could also relate too I think. I always knew I was different and indeed for a while felt I was special! And there was a period I had the Truman Show syndrome, that was of course before the Jim Carrey movie of that name lol. I felt every one was in on the plan and the plan was to mess with me until I finally surrendered or converted some how. I felt nothing was real and everyone were actors. Hope that doesn't freak you out but I just wanted to give you another example of freakishness that is difficult to explain or diagnose. That too could be associated to almost any thing.

I need to explor this subject more.

Yesterday I got caught up staring at the grass with the frost on it. It was amazing and intricate and I took too long getting to my parents across the yard. I can relate. I am different than my brothers in this regard, so I have always linked this trait to my bipolar.

I've done this as far back as I can remember... I've never considered it... very interesting!
