I took my husband to the hospital for his checkup on his circulation problem. He became ill while we were waiting to see the doc. I told the secretary that he needed help. It turns out that they thought he was having a heart attack/stroke. They addmited him for more test.

The hospital is two hours away and I did not have anything with me including my meds. This was supposed to be a routine visit. Well at 3am. I was wondering around the hospital unmedicated and very manic. Some staff person took me to the ER because I was out of it. After they figured out who I was they gave me my meds and was watched for a while. I eventually leveld out and came back to reality. I just feel so very very dumb now. I can't believe I was that out of it that quick.

I am sorry that you have such a quick reaction to not having your meds. Maybe you need to carry them with you from now on. A hard lesson to learn for sure. I know I wouldn't have thought to take mine with me either. I am glad you were in a place that could help you so quickly though.

You're not an idiot! There's no way you could know either that your husband would have worse problems just going in for a checkup or that you'd need your own meds so soon, that it would take so long.

Sorry you had to go through that but I'm glad you were at a good hospital who knew you instead of on an extended shopping trip or just out somewhere you decided to stay at for a day or two. Now you know.

You are not an idiot at all. There are just things that are not under our control. It's not your fault. I am glad they helped you at the hospital. And, I hope your husband is doing ok. Take care.

You are not an idiot, you were taking care of your husband, and the stress/fear of his emergency was enough to trigger things.
I'm glad you got the meds you needed, and hope all goes well for you and your husband.
