I've been rapid cycling every 24-36 hours with a short couple hour break in between extremes. Yesterday I was screaming profanities at people and throwing things and today I can't get off the couch. Keep breaking down and sobbing. Called pdoc and she upped my dose of Trileptal to 900mg and said to call her in a week. Feeling very alone and scared of myself....

I can understand how it would leave you scared and alone, especially, since you are on the down side right not. Hopefully, the Trileptal will kick in quickly. Rapid cycling can be scary and tiring. Take care and get as much rest as you can to make up for the manic cycles.

Don't be afraid to call psych ER if things get worse. Or your pdoc if you think she'd take another call before the week is up. I'm sorry you're feeling so horrible. That has to be absolutely exhausting.

I also am a rapid cycler, 30 now and just recently got medicated. I lived over half my life dealing with constant cycling.. I believed I was crazy and now that I take 5 diff meds a day I am living a functional life.. i still go thru times where i get manic or depressed but nothin like it was.. i tell my doc and he adjusts my meds and within a couple days im back to feelin great.. I hope it gets better for you soon.
