I havent really heard of this diagnosis before so it really caught my attention. My one issue with bipolar was that I always pondered on why I just go from happy energetic, to low energy n down feeling in just a few hours?

One thing mentioned about cyclothymia is that it does have shorter more rapid cycles. With out really falling into severe depression or full out mania and kind of always going up and down but not going too far off the `normal mood spectrum`

I could relate more with this then bipolar. There is not much information about it but it is said to be a milder form of bipolar because they tend not to fall into severe depressions and I would agree. My worst depression a year ago I felt very low energy for about a month, only sometimes turning in to negative thoughts.

But I find it hard to believe that overall its more mild because changing moods constantly is stressful. But less severe in symptoms of either side, probably. But I think it may cause more of a mixed episode feeling all too often

I do get huge bursts of hypomania or even mania sometimes, where it feels like I can take on the world. I also get feelings of utter crap feeling mixed or depressed. Where I dont want to get out of bed, or stay in bed, its horrible.

Just wondering your opinions or if anyone beleives they have it as well? I will talk to a doc about this I taked to a doc yesterday and he said my last physicists favorite diagnosis is bipolar lol... Im just wondering why I never heard of this and why no doctors besides smart ones even seem to know about it
