Don't you just hate it when you're really down and lonely, and there's not a single person to talk to? I feel like I've suddenly gone invisible.

He will come back to you. My dog sure did. I know that her soul
came back to me in my new dog.

Believe, because it is true

Hello. I am sorry you feel that way. When I come here, I can at least read about people who feel the same way and I feel a little bit more connected.

I really enjoy Psych Central. It's helped me so much. There is an abundance of compassion here! I just miss the give and take of having a friend. Although that person would most likely get sick of hearing about my issues with my boyfriend. :-( Sigh.

Hi Gloaming
I know how you feel. I just joined yesterday. I tend to keep to myself and outside of my therapist, psychiatrist and fiance, I have nobody in my life to talk to or spend time with. It's an unfortunate, but all too common symptom of bipolar depression. (isolating and having a very small circle/world)
I'm here.

I'm here.

I recently started texting one of my old facebook friends. We grew up together in Saudi Arabia, so she really "gets me." I can't tell you how much that helps! Other than that it's my T, pdoc, and sometimes my boyfriend (when it's convenient for him, which makes me feel like crap!). My ex-husband will talk to me sometimes. Out of my little circle sometimes he's the only one who takes me seriously, especially when I'm feeling suicidal.

Yeah, a Cairn terrier/Shih-tzu mix. He's got long, wiry fur, and he doesn't bother my allergies. And he loves cuddling and hugs. He must think he's a people.

No one to talk to

Thank you. I've just gotten to the point where my life is miserable. I don't plan on ending it. I just don't want it to suck as much as it does. So lonely....

Yup--Toto was a Cairn terrier whose name, I believe, was Kelly. Izzy's personality must be more Cairn than Shih-tzu. I've know many a Shih-tzu, and he's much sillier than that. Great sense of humor.

Isolation is a huge problem for lots of bipolar people. Except for maybe a spouse/partner and therapist, we don't open up to anyone.

I sort of prefer it that way, because when I'm depressed I can't deal with people.

Although at times it does get sort of lonely and I miss having a friend to hang out with. Just know you aren't alone. The majority of us here do the same exact thing you do.
