I would get a new pdoc. That was not an unreasonable request, laughing at you and dismissing your issue is not acceptable. If they won't prescribe your adderrall either they are not treating your ADHD. You need to go somewhere else.

I don't think i'm a M.D. If all doctors knew what was best, then you wouldn't have people that get second opinions and end up being better off with a different doc.

I really think you need a second opinion because that is a lot of meds and your AD's may not be working well with your mood stablizers.

Maybe you don't really need yet another med thrown into the mix, but rather overhaul of your combo. More isn't always better.

Is is your comment helpful, informative or supportive ?

I am 57 and have had bipolar since I was 15. In my experience a doctor that will listen to your ideas and work with you is what you need. I have brought a lot of information to my doctor and he doesn't laugh. He takes me seriously and always considers what I have to say.

Sorry to hear! That's very unprofessional! I'd fire your PA, and only go see a psychiatrist! It gets tricky when you through a 3rd in the mix, and then try to add a psychoactive drug on top of that! All the best!

you think you need a third antipsychotic med for anger? Your doctor didn't agree with you and laughed?

I could see your doctor laughing at that request.

Get a new doctor like you mentioned, second opinions.

As Venus said ... Maybe you need an overhaul of your current meds... More meds is not always a good think .

Good luck !
