We just changed my meds/dosages...again:
100 mg Lamictal (was on 300 & kept falling a lot) 300 mg Wellbutrin 60 mg Cymbalta 0.137 mg Synthroid (Thyroid dead from radiation) 2 mg Estradiol (hormone) Adderal 10 mg twice a day (just started this week but not any perkier yet) 150 mg Lithium (starting today & can work up to 3 per day) Vitamin D for a deficiancy also on antibiotics & pain meds after oral surgery I went for a good while on a certain cocktail that did well but since that stopped working it feels like we are floundering around trying to keep me out of the darkness. Very frustrating.

![]() I was a zombie on the instant-release seroquel, so we changed the 500mg to the extended release and it's much milder, as it stretches over the whole day. |

Thanks for the concern, but you really don't know my history. I have more than just bipolar. And the anti depressants operate on some different chemicals in the brain, they are not all the same. I have always been on large doses and several medications, my illnesses are treatment resistant. Rest assured that I am monitored closely for side effects, and actually, besides dry mouth and some tiredness throughout the day, I am fine. When I am on less medication however, I am extremely suicidal, attempt often, and severely depressed to the point of catatonia. Each person's body chemistry are different and these medications have evolved over time. I was not just prescribed a whole bunch of meds all at once. This is the only combo that has worked for me. While I have my downs, I do not get psychotic anymore and I have not attempted in over a year, which is really good for me. I have spent many years going in and out of the psych hospital, attempting suicide, SI, eating disorders, and alcoholism. I appreciate that these meds have helped me. I do not SI, and haven;t for 3 years, I do not abuse alcohol, I am a healthy eater, and I haven't attempted in over a year. When usually I attempt several times throughout the year during bad years. So please be aware that your words could be misconstrued by people and scare people off of taking medication that works. I appreciate your concern, but you do not know me nor my case and I would appreciate it if you not try not to undermine my pdoc and myself.

Please don't second guess my pdoc and myself. My pdoc is wonderful and cares about me very much. He is not into over medicating me for money! I find your post unhelpful and possibly dangerous. Please see my response to ptk.

I'm on
Geodon (20mg am/60mg pm) benztropine (1mg pm) Cymbalta (60mg am) levothyroxin (50mcg am) diazepam (2.5-5mg pm) It's been the best combo for me yet in the 2 years since I started treatment. I've been on practically everything especially in the anti-dep and atypical anti-psy classes. Even been on both of the mood stabilizers (lithium and Lamictal), but either they didn't work or they caused worse problems than their therapeutic effects. I also take all matter of supplements including Vitamins B, C, D, calcium, magnesium and a multi-mineral suspended in liquid. I don't take Omega fish oil because I'm vegetarian.

i think everyone is entitled to their opinions and mine is as i stated! you wouldn't be the only person I know who I think is over medicated (and justg happens to be paying for their healthcare / medication). Leave people to their opinions. I didn't say your dr was WRONG at all! just that i didn't agree with it. if it was me, i'd be seriously questionning it but if you say it's working for you then that's great. get off my back |

Vegan Omega 3 is available in the form of flax oil if you wanted to try that. My husband is a vegetarian so I am trying to get him to try it.
