Hi, I hope I can get some help here as this diagnosis isn't social anxiety. I've always had energy levels all over the place, for 2 hours, ill be hyper, then quiet again. WTF? It's all the time, my energy level is not normal, when i get quiet im not tired or anything, it just drops off. Is this Bipolar? I do have social anxiety, im taking Effexor 225 mg but my energy levels are all over the place, one moment im myself next im quiet as ****..

Please some one..

Rapid mood swings within hours or days is not all that common in true BP. Effexor could be causing this. It caused me to go manic as hell, while other AD have caused me to cycle within hours and days, then it was horrible to come off. If it was happening before effexor, have a look at what might be triggering you throughout the day. A good therapist can sort it out.

I don't really have rapid mood swings (I'm Type II). Sometimes when I'm just going depressed/hypomanic I become mixed and my mixed phases can sometimes involved swings in days (depressed for two, hypo for one, depressed for one, hypo for three, etc.) with the opposite feeling in the background. It's weird.
As a generality, though, bipolar moods stay for weeks/months/even years.

Talk to your doctor about a referral to a pdoc. But what the others have said. Too quick for BP.
