Feeling so out of control... Scared... I think I just heard something that's not there!
When should one consider the hospital? Does it help?

T says when I'm scared of myself. I have never been to the hospital though. I think you should go if you feel out of control and scared.

If you feel scared or out of control, I would seek help. I am sorry you are going through this.

I go to the hospital when I can't control my emotions like when I'm angry or when I want to self harm.

I will answer your second question

Hospital does help but it's often quite an unpleasant experience

But I do find a month in a low stimulation (boring) environment helps to straighten me out

Hospital only if I am a serious (suicidal) threat to myself. They can only hold you if you are a threat to yourself or others.

You should try talking to someone first maybe that will make you feel better but if that doesn't help then you should go to the hospital

I agree with everyone else here, when I feel out of control and am scared of harming myself or others. That is the worst feeling, and why I sought help because of my newborn baby. It turned out to be psychosis. NOT SAYING YOU HAVE THAT! But that was my experience when I felt out of control.

The stay was not fantastic, but it saved my life. They finally gave me a Dx and meds, and since, it has been good not great, but not total ****. If you feel out of control, try getting someone to talk you down. If that doesn't work, I would seek help, personally.

Hugs to you! You're going to be okay.

When you are at the point of being scared, call your pdoc immediately! That's what they are for. Pdoc may be able to make a med adjustment and hospital may not be necessary.
Thanks for this!
