I am finding that all this talk about mania, depression etc is making me relive the horrors of my bipolar beginnings. The more I read about depression, the more I am reminded of it. I do go through it again and again like a loop of unpleasant thoughts of what was and what could be again. I can't shake this feeling of doom. I just get more depressed. So I won't read anymore or I'll come back when I feel mentally stronger. I know this is suppose to help but for me who's had it at least 40+ years I've been and done most things and they're not happy memories. I hope this helps the newly diagnosed but I have little insight to this insidious disease.

i'm sorry, donna.

but what you're proposing is probably best. if it's making you relive things you don't want to, step away for a while.

or if it helps you could post in 1 of the lighter forums (such as the games, or the general social forums)

I definitely have to take a break now and then. Some support groups have made me feel worse. I like this forum so far. I have to take breaks from news, politics, and Facebook, too!
