Hello I'm new here. I was looking for some type of forum online and I'm glad I found this place. To summarize my situation. I've always had a problem with anxiety, depression and insomnia bc of the anxiety. I've been on a ton of meds that never really seemed to work. My new doc diagnos me with bipolar 2. And I really don't know what to make of that or how i feel. It makes me sad of course and I wish others would help me through it, but how can I ask for help when I don't know what to ask for exactly. Background: 16mom toddler, married to the most understand man in the world. Work full time. Just started back to work, was out on disability due to back surgery i had in December

I'm pretty new here too, but I'm finding it is a really supportive community, and people give really helpful feedback and advice. If you start a thread with questions people will get back to you with answers, so it's a good place to learn about what the diagnosis means and how to manage it. Welcome!

Hi, I agree with the comments above. I too have been here for a short while but I've been posting a lot. I find reading the threads really helpful. Sometimes I'll comment, other times I'll just read them. It is true, if you ask a question that tends towards being specific you are likely to get excellent feedback. This forum is just a piece of the pie. Your PDoc and therapists are very important. They can tell you how your meds interact and if you need adjustments. Finally, I enjoy the chat groups, sometimes they are a collection of members talking about everything, other times you can get real time help.
Welcome and good luck!

Welcome, rherrera21! I also have BP2, and I am here if you would like or vent about anything I'd be happy to recommend resources and suggestions if you have specific questions about BP2. I've gone through a pretty big range of books, websites, forums, and other resources since my diagnosis. Take care, and best of luck with everything!
