Trying to find cheaper med than Abilify for my BP2. I'm already on Lithium, Celexa (but would like to try Lexapro) I'm on Klonopin, and remeron for sleep.
Any suggestions on what might be cheaper but maybe as effective as Abilify? |

I didn't feel abilify was effective.
I suppose you'll have to turn to the older APs that have generics available. Geodon, zyprexa, regular Seroquel, etc. I use Seroquel XR as a prn though if I run out I'll have to switch to regular because I won't be able to afford it with my new deductible. Sad that we can't afford the drugs that help!

If you want cheap, then old AP's plus cogentin. Say, haldol and cogentin together will be way cheaper than Abilify.

I have the generic seraquil. Trazodone and Haloperidol are both on the $4 list at Walmart. Resperadon is $20 at Walmart but honestly I would get a list of approved anti psychotics from your insurance website.
