So I'm at this point in life where I have choices. Not very good choices but choices nonetheless.
1) continue with college 2) drop out of college and get a job 3) drop out and have a kid (haha i can't even take care of myself!!!) I think that last one is mostly mania speaking. BEFORE you start yelling at me to go to my doctors i already scheduled an appointment ![]() I'm so unmotivated and I think I'm going to fail this semester of college. I've got to write this 12 page paper that will never get done. Maybe i'll just skip the paper.

One of the great things about life is we always have choices. The options you laid out don't sound so bad to me, esp. since you don't sound serious about #3. Maybe continuing college when you are unmotivated is not a good idea - it is bad for one's well-being not to keep my commitments (like not getting a paper written that is a course requirement).
Quitting college and getting a job doesn't make you a failure. It just means it may not be your best option right now. Nothing wrong with getting a job - you can always revisit the college thing later. Or you may never need to at all. Sometimes it is about the spin we put on things - you could view this as going toward employment with an open mind and leaving college behind. Hope you find what works for you. ![]() |

Education is so important. Don't quit if you can help it. Just do the best you can. Always go forward. I'm old so I know this. I wish I could have gone to college. Didn't until after my 2nd divorce. Went to 8 colleges and universities whenever I could while working full time. Those were the days when there were no grants or loans or at least I did not know about them. My family did not believe girls were meant to go to college, just meant to get married and have kids. So I did. It was all wrong for me. You don't know how lucky you are to be in college. Hang onto it if you can. Education will enable you to better take care of yourself in many ways. It teaches you how to think and it enables you to make a good living. We all need that. Good luck.

There's the other option of doing part time college and work study.

I vote no on the kid
![]() I'm 35 and I see college differently than I once did. IMO, unless you have a plan - know why you are there and what you want to do - just wait. It costs too much money and time to be there for the sake of being there because society or your parents said so. Anyone can go to collee when they want and need to. It doesn't have to be the undeniable nex step after high school. I did finish college through depression, mania, and pregnancy (see, I voted no based on experience ![]() That's my two cents ![]()

I can't take a semester off I just took the summer and fall off. I think I just have to suffer through it. Or get a job. Any job really.
