Hi buds, I have been in a good mood the last 3-4 days but why is it that I don't want to post anything when I am in a good mood? Is it maybe cause I am not miserable enough to want to share horror stories or no need to reach out to my friends? Maybe because I no longer feel like I need help? HHmmm Right now I am so BORED. My choices are to watch TV, read a book, play on the computer, or go to bed and I have gotten really tired at doing all of them! I do not have a job and all of my friends and family are to far away. Anyone else feel this way? Anyone have any suggestions?

Oooooh me too! I don't like to post in a good mood because I've read some of my old hypo/manic posts and I sound a little crazy so i try to reel it in. But being manic is like being drunk for me, it's only a matter of time before I start posting everywhere because I just HAVE to talk!

I am definitely in the same boat! I totally want to do things but I injured my back so I can only walk in a zombie hobble right now, that won't work. I've read so many books in the last week. I do have a job though so at least I can do work from home if I'm bored enough!

Maybe try to find a craft you're interested in? Or learn a new one?

All good signs of a healthy mind! I am in the same position except I have a teenage daughter to raise. I would read nooks, listen to music, watch movies, research something interesting, and so forth, all of which you can do on the Internet. Also exersize is a good thing. Maybe research a hobby, one that you can join a local group interested in the same thing and make new friends. Bicycling, hiking, playing board games, whatever.

Just some ideas.

Thanks Wildflower for the reply and awesome suggestions - I tried crocheting one time - I could try that again.
What kind of at-home work do you do. I have scrolled the internet but all sounds bogus.

Oh no I have a job that I report to but I can also do work at home - and indeed should. I am a teacher so I can write lesson plans from home. I am a special ed teacher too so I have to write IEPs for all my students in the next two months which I better do now before depression hits!

Thanks r010159 for your great suggestions!!! I really do need to exercise but just can not make myself do it. Any suggestions on how to gear my mind to exercise?

Wow, nice job! I love all kids but other than my own I would prefer Special Ed. They usually do not fight and cuss. I would think, however that your job is very stressful and that would be hard to regulate your mood

HaHA! I should have specified that I deal with emotionally disturbed special ed students...so I get the most aggressive students in my area lol. I get cursed out and threatened on the daily. But we run a behavior model at my school so they earn consequences for that. I guess it is hard to regulate emotions - but I love it.
