When I go to bed at night, sometimes my brain is twirling around like a carousel.

I would like a book, with a passage that I can read before bed, leaving the last thing in my head is rooted in peace and harmony

Can anyone recommend anything?

No harmony here, but Hemmingway is a good match for my sleeplessness, he bores me to death and knocks me right into lalaland... I should go dig out that book.

This is one that will take your mind somewhere else to ponder it, or make you fall asleep with its ponderousness.
Charles Dickens: A Tale of Two Cities.

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times,...."

If my mind is running off, I mentally make myself "type" all my thoughts. I am asleep in no time...peace and harmony never works for me.

So many amazing passages in this book to ponder before sleep.

My favourite book? There are so many, but I love the old Greek classics. I love the story of Medea.
