I think the answer is yes because I feel that "something" has made me depressed. I learned that not working in an occupation that I enjoy is depressing to me. I found that out by the fact that when I was employed, I was doing very well - that is, not depressed. When I left that job, my depression started back in full force. I suspect that if someone is in your life and your depression increases when they are around, then you can probably include that person as a contributor to your depression...just my two cents...

4 people came back into my house yesterday and within hours I became depressed again. I'm thinking of leaving until everyone moves.

Maybe it's not the people...perhaps it is just the stress of too many people?

I don't think people can make you depressed.

Now people doing "x" towards you can.

x = talking down to you, attacking you, etc

I agree with jesusplay.

If you are depressed and people around you are toxic, then they can make it worse

Bad interpersonal relationships can trigger depression, which in time could turn into an full blown depressive episode if the relationship is ongoing and unhealthy.

Stress as we know triggers episodes, so if a person is causing you undue stress then you can get depressed.

How are your communication skills at the moment? Are you able to communicate with this person in an assertive manner to address how they are acting which is making you depressed?

It maybe but I can't kick them out. So I may just leave.

They're just there I can't figure out which one it is. I'm always outvoted. Even though I pay the bills.
How are your communication skills at the moment? I'm not, I've resorted to SI. I swear they are trying to make me sui. I was fine the week they were gone.
