I am going back to work on Monday. I have been out since the end of febuary, I am happy but it is scary too. I am doing so well for the first time in a long time. I am lucky. My employers know my diagnosis and have been good accepting that I have to have time off for appointments and such. I am just happy to be back on a even keel.

Your so lucky. In Colorado that is unheard of. You are fired anytime you miss more than a week no matter the medical condition.

Good for you! Do you have a good support system right now? Going back to work can be difficult even if you're feeling better. You have to get used to the stress again. I was out over the summer - I'm a teacher but usually work a summer job, but I had to leave last year. I Actually went straight from an inpatient stay to work - got out Thursday, went to work the following Tuesday. It was hard! If I wasn't going to an evening IOP program I would have probably left before September was up!

I TOTLALLY AGREE THAT COLORADO IS THE HATE STATE FOR THE MENTALLY ILL. I love my home state, but I want to see the wicked state government power brokers (politicians) and their armed thugs (police) prosecuted for crimes against the mentally disabled.

I have plans to go back to work after 15 year hiatus. This freighters me. I am thinking of starting off slow. Perhaps this means a part time job that is easy for me to perform.

Good luck on your new job!
