Positive things I’ve done today

I am taking this afternoon off, for some "me" time

I tend to not be good to myself
Somehow, something inside me says - you don't deserve that

Today, I went out and bought 5 new shirts (which I really needed)
Which for me, is quite a feat

I went to the library got some books and picked up some milk on the way back.

got out of bed yippee...

Went to an art museum and went swimming.

Started some deep cleaning.

I told my family about my struggles, finally got my workout on and threw away the cookies that have been my fix. Seeing those cookies in the trash was like seeing all my bullies in a trash bag. Good feelings!

Cleaning always makes me feel better. Did it make you feel better too?

Yes, Auja!! And my workouts make me feel best - good for you. I walk on a trail around a lake and do a pilates dvd. Seroquel helped me pack on a lot of weight, but I'm on new meds - eating healthy and taking it off slowly. I hope it felt good to talk with your family. Maybe it helped take some of the strain off you and get support in return.

Attended a family party

Visited a friend coping with addiction. This time meant listening and feining interest in the wild, far out ideas that he considers facts, while he was in a drunken stupor. I hope he feels better tomorrow.

thickntired, Yes! It was like a HUGE weight off my shoulders though today is the actual "knights at the round table talk." I'm NERVOUS but I know it will go well! Getting outside on trails is wonderful and gets you out of your usual surroundings. You've just inspired me to take a stroll around the lake by my house

So BOOM! My positive deeds of the day are talking my family and "Ninja Turtle site seeing."

I slept from 11:30 to 6:45 this morning. I got up went and bought iced coffee for my wife and me I went and picked her up from work. I am now leaving to go help the in laws out with a water line problem. I am then going to go over and mow my parents lawn. I am looking forward to today.

Woke up happy, and grateful my depression is moving along!

Took my daughter shopping, did groceries, slept in.

Took my dog to the dog park

I swear that she smiles when we are there

I went for a walk down the trails

Trees, wild flowers, green grass...just perfect

I went to work today, got the kids off to school, played with them at the park, cooked dinner, did laundry and helped kids clean their room. Very responsible. LOL

Did not lose my temper at work, when some of the people I work with

seem to have left their brains at home today

Yesterday I drove my neighbor to the grocery store and to get her medicine.

I saw my medical provider and had a frank talk. I felt fully listened to for which I am thankful. Starting titrating Lamictal tonight. I hope it helps.

That is so kind. So many people are in the "me, me, me" world that
they don't see other's needs so clearly.

I am not trying to sound morbid, but without Lamictal, I would
not be here, alive, today

I had three cups of coffee, two lorazepam, and barely managed to hold my temper in dealing with a repetitive Alzheimer's patient.

THAT is an accomplishment.
