How many meds have you tried in the past? How many meds are you on now for daily cocktail?

I have been on 25 different meds and of those and am on 4 meds right now.

Prozac, Paxil, Effexor, Wellbutrin, Risperdone, Abilify, Seroquel, Zyprexa, Topomax, Lithium, Trileptal, Lamictal, Buspar, Klonopin, Xanax, Loranzepam, Temazapam, Amphetamin Salts, Levothyroxine, Primidone, and Norpramine. So about 20 medications. I am on Fluoxetine, Olanzapine, Lamitrogine, Buspirone, and Levothyroxine. So there are 5 medications that I am taking now.

I find the best cocktail includes Fluoxetine and Olanzapine. These are the two constants in what has worked for me in the past. Norpramine was useless and poorly prescribed.

I've been on so many that I can't even remember the names on all of them. Most of them didn't do much for me and or had bad enough side effects that I had to stop them. I even had to go to the ER after a bad reaction to an increase dose of Risperidone. Right now I'm on Topamax, Cymbalta, Saphris, Seroquel, Mirtazapine, and Benztropine (To stop restlessness from the Saphris)

I've been at this for 7 years. I've tried all the mood stabilizers except lithium. No AP except seroquel, tons of AD. Plus a couple of anti anxiety meds.

Currently I'm on welbutrin 75 mg., viibyrd 40 mg, and lamictal 150mg. PRN seroquel . given how these next 3 wks go I may be adding abilify.

Past - zoloft, effexor, abilify, depakote, zyprexa, klonopin, ativan, seroquel, zopiclone, trazodone

Present - saphris, wellbutrin, lamictal, mirapex

Feels like i'm sampling all the possibilities. Next one to try if i need another switch is latuda. I've never tried lithium, and i'd like to avoid it if i can

There's no way I could remember all the meds I've tried since I was diagnosed more than 20 years ago. Currently, as my signature says, I'm on 5: lamictal, saphris, Xanax, wellbutrin and trazadone. I bet my pdoc will be eliminating wellbutrin next Monday when I see him and have me try a different antidepressant. Wellbutrin is just not cutting the mustard.

I've been on: Risperidone, Seroquel, Lamictal, Celexa, Trazodone, Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Clonazepam, Oxazepam, Lorazepam, Epival, Lithium, Abilify, Saphris, Testosterone, and a bunch of antihistamines that did nothing for my heat allergy.

Am currently on: Seroquel, Abilify, Testosterone. Today is my last day of Lithium, phew.

I was on lithium and didn't really like it as well. It seemed to be okay at helping, but for some reason it was building up in my system to a point where it wasn't good. It even made me twitch a lot. So I had to stop. Honestly I don't like being on meds where you need to take a blood test every so often to make sure everything is okay...

I was lucky. The second AP I tried works great with minimal side-effects.

In total I've tried 9 meds for Bipolar, ADD, and anxiety. Currently I take three (Zyprexa for bipolar, Dexedrine for ADD, and Stelazine for anxiety).

2. Three if you count long-acting vs. short Welbutrin. Four if you count prescription vitamin d. The other's lexapro.

Past, let's see--Zyprexa, Geodon, Zoloft, Celexa, abilify.

Current--just lithium and Saphris

I started out diagnosed with depression only, thus the antidepressants. When those didn't work, a mood stabilizer was added. Now I'm not on antidepressants at all, seems to be working for me!

Two meds currently.
I've never been on more than 3 at a time, one being PRN.
