With all the changes in law I have been taken off Xanax and it has been replaced with nothing... I was initially started on it as I have extreme panic attacks and overwhelming states where my body feels like it is trying to reject me. Xanax was the only thing that helped (i tried lots of other things before it was decided this was the best choice). I am also on Sodium Valproate, Seroquel and Zoloft but these just help stabalise me they dont take away all the other feelings.

I am really struggling day to day without it. My panic attacks are coming back, i feel utterly disgusting, harmful thoughts are coming back. I am (always) highly impulsive and often have trouble not responding to my thoughts or images. I am really at a loss at what to do... Has anyone else experienced something like this? Or does anyone have any suggestions what I can try?

That really stinks that a change in the law and something that helped you is just plain gone and not an option anymore. The only advice I can offer is just kick and scream at your doctor until they find something that can help you. Of course you may have already done that. I know it's not right but I self medicated in my younger days for my anxiety which seemed to work. Unfortunately as I got older and had kids it just wasn't an option anymore. I usually put doctors and shrinks in the same category as lawyers. I hope you find something that helps you soon!

You sound like you are extremely uncomfortable. There are other options. Don't let it go on too long.
