EDIT: I decided to take this post down. I'm in a weird mood, and I probably should not be posting right now. I decided I don't want to post about the way I feel right now because it sounds so pathetic. Just want to disappear. (not feeling sui, just depressed). Thanks and sorry for weird post.

You can be a foster parent if: maybe foster to adopt.

No evidence of mental health conditions that would impair the ability to provide safe, consistent care for children

If you make a plan for when your unwell I don't think there will be an issue.

I've looked at the application to adopt, and it has a mental health screen which a doctor must fill out that asks if you have ever been hospitalized for a mental health or addiction. I'm in Canada and they are very strict about who can adopt, a lot of screening and home visits, and they often turn people down. I am capable of parenting, and I would prefer an older child to an infant, so I'm sure there are kids in need. But I'm 99% sure I wouldn't be approved and I don't want to get my hopes up, and put myself through the time and money just to be turned down. It's just something I have to accept,
