I've been on Latuda now for 2 days. I have been allergic to 5 other medicines in the past and the reaction did not happen right away. I know I should think positively, but I am waiting for the worst to happen. Does anyone know if Latuda takes time to build up in your system, and how long does it take?

It has a half life of 18 hours, which means it will be 90 hours until it reaches steady state in your blood levels. I'm not sure how long it will take to have clinical effect though. I'm guessing it will take a few weeks to reach maximum effectiveness, but I don't know for sure. You'll probably see some benefit quicker than that though.
