Let me go ahead and say that yesterday I was ready to sell my soul to the devil to make it pass

Yesterday was the first day I was to take my geodon during the day. Dosed at 80mg. So I did as I was told and took it with lunch. About a hour later I started to feel uneasy. My body felt heavy but I was completely restless. The feeling got progressively worse. I started to feel as if I couldn't breath. I stand up sit down stand up repeat. All this was happening while I was at work. I ended up saying I'm leaving I'm going to the emergency room. It was a chore to drive. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. I decided I didn't want a ridiculous hospital bill so I went home took a benadryl and a ambien to sleep through. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience what did you do?

I've had it more times than I would like. Maybe 12 times. At first I didn't know what was happening. Then I was prescribed congentin for it. I would have to take a lot for it to go away. Then I was given inderal on top of the congentin. It still would take hours to go away. Finally on latuda I kept getting it from certain foods and diet sodas. Long story...I got it on the bus and that was the end of putting up with that side effect.

It's horrible and one almost needs to experience it to know what it's like. I would feel like I was gonna fall through the floor and like the walls were closing in on me. Then the up down, up down is horrible.

You can try congentin and inderal as well as visteral...

That was the most horrible terrifying mess I have ever been through. It's tough to describe how it made me feel. I don't ever want to feel that again. I am calling my pdoc first thing. I like the geodon it's helping a ton just don't want that feeling

I had it from Abilify and it was terrible. I was in school at the time, and i had to frequently leave class and walk around in the hallways. It was really unpleasant and disruptive. That's why i stopped the abilify. I switched to another AP, don't remember which one, and it stopped.

Yesterday i was getting the feeling that i had to move my foot, kind of bend it around. I couldn't resist it. I was doing it while sitting with a couple coworkers, and i think it was really noticeable. I've had this before, but yesterday was ths worst. It felt different than the akithesia i got from abilify, not as intense. I'm not sure if this was akithesia too.

i get akathisia a lot and it f_cking sucks. i really hate it. i take ARTANE for it now. there are meds that help make it go away. it really is the most uncomfortable feeling in the world. i describe it as feeling like you have to be constantly moving or else u will literally explode. hope u find some relief

It is truly the worst thing ever. I hope this doesn't continue to happen because I definitely couldn't tolerate it. Thank you.

Either a dose reduction, or switching to another drug, or adding one of the antidote drugs mentioned above, would be needed. It is not the kind of side effect that would go away as the body adjusts to the medication. No, this one is a curse...

I had a briefly when I started Geodon, but it went away after two weeks. I felt that I had to stretch my arms and legs all of the time. I couldn't get comfortable.

I know when I went up on my dose of abilify from 15 to 20mg I got it but once my dose was lowered again I was fine.
