I wondered if you all would share your experiences with Seroquel. I am in the depths of a terrible state, and I am begging for relief... for some normalcy to return, motivation?

I took my first dose yesterday and it made me crash hard. I know that's side effect. I would love to hear from everyone about their experiences and what I can maybe hope for.

Thank you.

It worked really well for me but I had to quit taking it because it was too hard to get up the days I had to work.

I only took it for sleep/anxiety so I was taking between 25mg to 75mg. I was good for the first 3 days but then it just started making me angry and rude to people around me. It also induced hypomania for me. I've heard it works really well for some people though, so I guess stick it for awhile and see if you're one of them?

It sort of worked for me. Brought me out of bad depression, but my mood stayed in the depressive range, so i switched to Saphris. But it didn't give me any problems, and it did help. I have it now as a prn for sleep, but it doesn't work well for sleep for me.

I had problems with losing the weight I had gained from being on Depakote. I also became pre-diabetic and my triglycerides were extremely high as well. Within two months of being off of the Seroquel I lost 25 lbs. It did help me sleep though. I was on 400 mg and my mania got out of control so it no longer had worked for me.

Hbomb,
I have taken Seroquel for 2 days. The first day, it knocked me out, but I did OK with it yesterday.
I am also in a really dark place and hoping the Seroquel will pull me out. Right now, I am at 150mg a day. I'm very worried about weight gain, so hope I can stabilize and then go down to 50 mg . But I don't know…. it's all a big unknown.
I did take Seroquel in the past for about a year, but I put on 35 lbs, so decided to go off of it. Since then, I have had a long depression, but the past month have been in a mixed episode from a 3 day trial of an antidepressant. Sometimes I think I should never have stopped taking Seroquel.
PM me if you want to compare notes. I'm thinking of you.

I took seroquel daily for about 3 wks. I didn't gain weight but it did give me much needed 3 hrs a night. I tried taking it for anxiety and passed out for the day. So days it'll make me stoned others sleepy others numb but it just depends on the day.

I took seroquel only for about six months. I did Ok on it but I think I was under medicated at 400mg because I made some damn terrible decisions on it... I think it was breakthrough mania. I slept 8 hrs per night every night, like clockwork. I gained a bit of weight on it but only about 20lbs.

Second time- I was on it at 150mg with a whole bunch of other things. I gained 35lbs this time but I think it's the combined effects of it with the risperdal and actually eating... I was taken off of it because I was sleeping twelve hours a day, but it turned out I was just depressed. Hopefully I'll be put back on it because other than triazolam, it's the only thing that helps me sleep.

It sort of helped me but I gained entirely too much weight so I got off of it. It wasn't worth it.
