Every time I close my eyes it seems I'm spring boarded into another dimension. I've been picking up extremely clear and foreign voices as though I was a radio receiver, every dream I have includes and acute sense of awareness as well as the active participation of my waking body... they're all so stressful and semi-lucid. I'll sleep for half an hour and then wake up. I'm scared to even try to sleep at this point. Anyone else experience anything like this?

The only time experienced dreams like that, I was in the throws of alcohol and drug withdrawal.

Could it be med related? I would talk with my doc, if I were you.

I haven't smoked weed in about a week and some? and I haven't been heavily smoking for about a month... but do you think that could be it? I don't have a doctor. sort of untreated at the moment.

That could be it...not sure...wouldn't want to suggest it is either way...it might be it might be something completely different.

I get lucid dreams/nightmares when my mood is really unstable. They are interesting, so i kind of like them, even though they are terrifying at the time. I've had it where it gets so real that i can't tell if i'm awake or asleep, but that's only happened a couple of times. Now that i'm on so many meds i barely dream at all. I wish i could get some of that back.

I totally had this happen at acupuncture today! She leaves the room for an hour every session while the needles do their thing. I fell asleep this time and she came in what I thought had been 15 mins or so because I thought I had been awake the entire time. It felt just like your description..dimension hopping and all! Was kinda neat. Though I can imagine how this would be frustrating each night.
Thanks for this!
