I just read it again & got another hug. Fantastic. My daughter's husband's aunt (I know this sounds convoluted) was just committed to a mental institution (for bp) cuz she was psychotic & threatening to kill herself. The police came. My daughter is very scared to think I have the same disorder, esp. since I did tell her about the OD in Aug. I'm trying to reassure her that I'm ok--but I'm just barely ok--but I don't want my kids worrying about me.--Suzy

Stigma is a big thing to overcome. In our local paper they just had an article about a guy who was identified as bp shoot 4 people. I think it said he wasn't taking his meds. This kind of press makes it really hard to admit that you are bp, even to yourself sometimes, but especially not to extended family or work people, etc..--Suzy
