When someone is ill, but knows life has to continue, my question is what/deems them to be available for public assistance. Or perhaps this may explain myself better. Suppose this has caused me problems at numerous jobs. However no employers tried to help/assist with me getting help in order to keep my jobs. They wait until I screw up enough to be fired. Should have looked into legal resolutions, but laws are always stacked against employees. So, I would like to relocate into a state with a strong union base, in hopes that they would help keep my rights intact so that I have a fair chance to succeed, and possibly remain stable at a job long enough to provide for myself longterm.
I start jobs and usually do ok and sometimes excel, but a couple to 3 years as I get bored I usually wind up in trouble even though I'm mentally never aware of what's occurring. So, I think a union type environment would benefit me better. Maybe if I slip, the union, company, and me would find resolutions to help me. And, most union jobs have retirements that are clean from a corporations hands. Anyone have any recommendations where and how to start a journey such as this? |

Thanks. Good read, but irrelevant as it pertains to GA. I have fought for myself several times here and I am tired and done. Slavery still exists, however just in a different fashion. I truly want to seek employment and residency in another state.

You might want to try a liberal Northeastern state or the Pacific Coast. Unions have got almost everything locked up around there, especially for blue-collar workers. I live in Oregon and even public employees have to join the Service Employees International Union (no matter how much we might disagree with their politics....grrrrrrrrr).

I can't offer any help... I just wanted to let you know you're not alone. I last almost exactly two years before I start having work problems... I also agree that the pnw is pretty union heavy.
