Hey
I was told by a pdoc in jan that it seemed like i had bipolar 2, then i went and saw another doctor a few times and she things its Cyclothymia. Since Jan they have changed my meds 3 times. First they put me on Depakote and Fluxotine. then they stopped the Depakote and put me on Olanzapine. now they stopped all my meds and are putting me on a antidepressant called Venlafaxine so I've now stopped my other meds and have to wait 5 days before starting the new one. I've started having bad mood swings. crying one moment then being irritable and angry the next. I cant sleep and I feel jittery and restless. I keep getting racing thoughts and keep getting really bad suicidal thoughts. Anyone have any idea if this is down to the medication change. Ive got someone coming out tomorrow to do a assessment on me. |

Yes, I would think it would have a lot to do with your being without meds. Hang in there, it will take a little while for the new one to take affect most likely. Glad you have someone coming out to do an assessment, maybe they will have answer to help you in the meantime.

If it were me I would think it is a side effect. If you're having suicidal thoughts, call the doctor. They may suggest discontinuing it right away, but only your doctor can make the right call. (This happened to me.)
