I've been up all night, yet again and getting so tired of it. I finally am seeing a new psychiatrist, but my next appointment is in a month
Pdoc said if I couldn't sleep to call his office, which I have now, twice without a response. I know they are very busy ,but does it take 3 days to return a phone call?!
Grrr I'm sick of drs they never help, just make me feel worse.
I've been taking clonazapam and benadryl to sleep, but neither are working anymore .
Just felt the need to rant. My pdoc agreed with me, that sleep is crucial with bipolar disorder, so why won't he help?
Thanks for reading

Have you tried reading something or solving cross-words? It helps me whenever I can't sleep!
Thanks for this!

Yeah, I've been reading off and on all night/morning. I think the main reason I can't sleep is I had caffeine yesterday (very sensitive to it) and took a nap. But I needed both in order to get through the day, since I had barely slept the night before

Yes coffee will keep me up all night if i have any after noon, and napping is also a reason i can't sleep too.

Iv'e had the same problem for months now. I don't like most drugs and have gone the natural route in terms of sleep aids.

I have Passionflower tea and Valerian root tea before bed. I find it very effective. Valerian tastes nasty but I just add a little honey and it makes it tolerable.

If you're looking for medication there are a lot of them out there.

Hope you get to talk to your pdoc soon.

I second the Valerian root - it did miracles for me!
Fortunately, I have absolutely no problem with caffeine in moderate quantities. Only if I reach -or exceed- 320mg I go nuts.
