Hi. I'm writing this late at night. Don't feel like sleeping right now. I just wanting to know what kind of help and support people have received for illness? Has it been easy to get good understanding and support you need from professionals and others? Or have people been negative bullyish , judgmental towards you, not believing ,down playing what you say about your circumstances?

For me, its been a real rollercoaster trying to live with illness. I have had negative experiences of professionals and others too which has been distressing for me.
I DO have a challenging, debilitating, risky, demonic illness. And its hard being in control of it by myself.
I've just started taking alternative health products and been seeing counsellor for few weeks.

Most of the time as of late, I have acted relatively stable. The times I was acting bizarre were thought of as "that is just Bob" by others. Generally, my friends have been accepting of my illness. And I am very lucky to have a good support network. But I have hurt many people in my past life.

Support comes with education. What I mean is that if they don't understand the illness they will not understand why you need support. You have a disease and it can be fatal. Ive had to educate my family and friends on what to expect and what I do and how I feel is normal.

Support here is a great start.

I have been educating myself about illness and trying different forms of help for me personally but i'm still in a difficult place with it. I don't get professional help and support with it, but i have tried to. I contact Samaritans for support thats about it. I'm seeing counsellor/life coach currently, but shes not mental health expert and i'm not sure whether to see her again.

I meant other people need to be educated about it so they have more of an understanding what we go through.
