Music is an anti-depressant to me. I credit music for getting me through some of the worst times in my life.
Thanks for this!

Love Macklemore - I'm listening to tunes tonight too for mood moderation.

I feel the exact same way. If not for music, I'm pretty sure I would have been a goner a long time ago.

As far as any particular anti-depressant song, Paul Simon's "Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard," can't help but make me feel a little happier inside.

ok, I was saving this one... the one that will absolutely blow your heart away.... so intensely pleasurable music and lyrics.

ADVENTURE CLUB - GOLD

full lyrics
Only sunshine, under the bright sky.
Only sunshine, under the bright sky.
When the words are like bullets and they break through your skin,
and there's no way to get them all out.
When it feels like a rush seeping into your soul,
STAY GOLD.
Under the bright sky. only sunshine.
Under the bright sky.
STAY GOLD.
You were always searching, for something out there,
out of reach, couldn't stop you, couldn't hold you back,
you were so real. so real.
When the words are like bullets and they break through your skin,
and there's no way to get them all out,
when it feels like a rush seeping into your soul,
STAY GOLD.
Under the bright sky. only sunshine.
Under the bright sky. only sunshine.
STAY GOLD.

Or pretty much anything else by ELO

Electric Light Orchestra - Mr Blue Sky:

Extra bonus because it always reminds me of Dr Who

This is the same for me, and is my main motivation for pursuing a degree in Music Therapy. I start my second year end of September.

If I had to pick one, I'd pick "I am what I am" by Above and Beyond feat. Oceanlab.
