I'm currently in a hypo phase.

Ive been experiencing something that's can't better explain as split second brain freezes.

I notice it particularly when I'm driving. It's like when my eyes are open for a second or two I have no idea what I've seen for those few seconds. Driving tonight it was 10 times worse because it felt like every 30 seconds my brain or eyes were flicking off for a second or two. As if my eyes were rolling in to the back of my head but I'm pretty sure they weren't.

Does this even make any sense.

I'm on lithium, seroquel, cipramil and Valium.

Hmmm, it could be the meds. Hooligan, I think you do need to talk to your doc about it. Perhaps it's dangerous for you to be driving right now.

I get this when I stop taking or reduce the dose of anti depressants. Have you had any med changes?

Call your Pdoc .. While waitng for a call back .. Call your Pharmacist they typically know more about the meds and side effects than the Doctors do.

Good luck and I hope you find out the cause soon

I got hypo once while driving and almost slammed into a school bus. If you get these feelings again, pull over and park until they pass. You don't want to hurt yourself or someone else.

Thanks everyone for the advice. My antidepressants have been halved. My antipsychotics should be doubled according to my pdoc on Monday but I can't because I'm still at work. Started having some trouble at work this week because my mood is esculating but hey that's another post altogether. There were just too many lights from cars coming towards me last night. Technically I also question whether I should be driving right now but hey I've got places to go and things to do. I'll discuss it with my pdoc when I see him again.
