What are your experiences with it? Experiences with it in combination with Gaba? With gaba and Zoloft?

Pdoc is looking into adding abilify to my mix...yay! *sarcasm*

I liked what it improved in my moods, but i got severe akathasia from it and had to abandon ship. Been trial and error method every since. Blah! I hope it works for you. Akathasia is 20% in users of abilify.

Ah yes, yet another drug (added to your sarcasm)

Keeping in mind that everyone's body is different. We are blessed with an assortment of medication to suit our needs....

Abilify was not the drug for me. I felt edgy all the time. I couldn't get comfortable, my heart was racing, I couldn't sleep. Just not the one for me.

Understood that everyone is different -- but I rather prefer people's descriptions of any issues they had than the FDA approved 'blah blah' on drug info insert.

I added abilify to my combo and I loved it. I felt somewhat lethargic, but not a major issue. It lessened my bad thoughts and mood changes. No side effects for me!

Abilify caused me to shake uncontrollably. My whole body shakes. It was a nightmare.

By the way, is there a name for this condition?

I take 6 mg, which is a sub-therapeutic dose, but it works incredibly well on my depression. Not so much on mania, I had a manic episode recently, but I managed to bring myself down safely without a depression crash. Abilify is absolutely the saving grace in my drug cocktail.

I take 30 mg. It has, for the most part, kept away my delusions and occasional hallucinations and I'm sure prevented hospitalizations, which is wonderful. For me this has been a great drug.

I took Abilify for six months, 30 mg with Prozac 200mg (I can't remember, I change so much.) and Vybriid 40mg. Aside from gaining 60lbs uncontrollably in six months, it worked really well. I have an eating disorder though, so the weight gain was a huge issue. I became prediabetic as well and had to be taken off it. Now they put me on Topamax 200mg and I'm having a really hard time staying awake. So... time to go back and figure out something else.
