We waited over 2 months to get my son in to Dr. Poor kid sleeps up to 15 hours a day. Finally, finally got in & a script to hold him until he can get back to previous PDoc. Prob - controlled 2 substance - yet he had all documentation from being on it a year. He does not abuse it. It's XR so even less of a chance.
He's tried 4 pharmacies. Anyone else run into this? __________________ notALICE MIDWAY upon the journey of our life I found myself within a forest dark, For the straightforward pathway had been lost. Bipolar I |

Is it that it's not in stock, that the pharmacies are saying? I used to take Vyvanse, and I know there were a few times I had to call multiple branches of multiple pharmacies until I could find one that had supply left, and that's because it is among those substances that the government caps how much can be distributed over the course of the year, so towards the end of each yearly period there is a supply crisis. Apparently the industry hasn't caught up with a way of managing around the government restriction, so that responsible patients aren't punished in the process. (And it's that much more crazy when you consider that Vyvanse is a prodrug, activating only once in the intestinal track, making it far less abusable anyway.)
I would call the manufacturer to see what they have to say about it.. could be enlightening, as their customer service mission statement will differ quite a bit from the pharmacies'. __________________ “We use our minds not to discover facts but to hide them. 8 pharms. One won't fill it because he had another script active (a totally different med) at another big name pharm. they won't release if they have it in stock over the phone. They won't tell me if or when they might get it in. I'm going to call the Dr's tomorrow. Maybe it's the dosage. It was so hard getting the script (2 week supply) and now we can't fill it. He's back in bed.
