I've been on Restoril for about a year and it has been wonderful for getting my sleep routine down. I usually wake up naturally feeling rested and ready for the day. But in the past few weeks my sleep has been disrupted every 3-4 hours during the night. This has never happened before and it's tough to go back to sleep most of the time. Does anyone have experience with this? Does it lose it's effectiveness over time, or could it be my own cycles triggering this change? My house is extremely quiet so there's no outside stimuli. And I am caffeine alcohol and drug free.
Thank you in advance for any insight you could share.

I eventually habituated too it and had to switch to something else. That's just the reality with sleep aids.

I take restroril, mostly as needed but not always effective. It's a benzo, so I think you can build up a tolerance but 30mg is max dose, period. It could be a combo of both.
Hope you get rest! If I start experiencing insomnia it's my first sign of going manic. Sleep is so crucial IMO. Best,
